COMMEMORATING ONE FULL YEAR SINCE THE BRUTAL MURDER OF COMRADE FRANK SSENTEZA KALIBALA BY THE REGIME
Yesterday, several leaders of the National Unity Platform at different levels came together with hundreds of foot soldiers to commemorate one full year since the passing of our comrade Ssenteza Frank Kalibala in Masaka. Frank was murdered by the military police on 27th December, 2020 and was buried the following day on the 28th.
Comrade Frank Ssenteza Kalibala was murdered by Military Police when he was deliberately knocked down and ran over by a military truck on 27th/12/2020 at the Busega roundabout as he rushed in company of several other comrades to Rubaga Hospital besides another Comrade; Ashiraf Kasirye who had been shot in the head by Mr. Enock Abaine, the then Masaka Regional Police Commander.
Among the leaders who represented the National Unity Platform at the prayers were Hon. Mathias Mpuuga Nsamba – Deputy Party President in charge of the Central Region, David Lewis Rubongoya – Party Secretary General, Hon. Joel Ssenyonyi – Party Spokesperson and Alex Waiswa Mufumbiro – Deputy Party Spokesperson. Also present were Members of of Parliamentary team and several other local government leaders.
As the National Unity Platform, we are eternally grateful to the Church leaders who not only preached and prayed for the soul of our deceased comrade, but also spoke boldly against the oppressive rule of Gen. Museveni. They encouraged those who attended and those who were following online to ensure that the cause for which Frank died is prosecuted to its logical conclusion.
We are deeply indebted to Frank’s parents for the strength they have continued to show ever since their son’s tragic passing
NUP is one big family and we have made a conscious decision to always stick together in bad and good times. This is something we must build in ourselves- the true spirit of comradeship. Comrades like Frank Ssenteza, Yasin Kawuma, Ritah Nabukenya, Dan Kyeyune and many others have paid the ultimate price for freedom. All we can promise to these fallen comrades is to carry on at whichever cost the struggle for A NEW UGANDA for which their precious blood was shed.
